Stensul MCP Server — Early Access Program
AI agents can now create emails through Stensul from outside the platform. The Stensul MCP Server connects agents running in Claude, ChatGPT, Slack, Figma, or any MCP-supporting tool to the same governed structures your team already uses: approved templates, modules, brand rules, and approval workflows.
How it works
When an agent creates an email through Stensul MCP, it works inside your account's existing configuration:
Approved template structures, including modules, layouts, and locked components
Brand rules such as fonts, colors, and locked design tokens
The same review and approval workflows human-created work passes through
The result is the same whether a person or an agent starts the work: an asset that exists in Stensul, built inside your guardrails, ready for your normal review process.
How to get access
Stensul MCP is in an Early Access Program. Contact your CSM to talk through whether MCP is a fit for your account and how to join.
Governance Agents: Accessibility QA Check (Beta)
Accessibility checks now run inside the Email Builder, in real time, while the email is being created. This is the first in a new line of Governance Agents: automated checks that run on their own, without a manual step.
How it works
The check runs against the rendered HTML and flags issues directly on the canvas, so creators can fix them in the moment rather than after export. It scans for three things, mapped to WCAG 2.1 AA:
Missing alt text on images
Color contrast below WCAG standards
Heading structure that doesn't follow a logical order
This check is fully deterministic. It uses standards-based rules that run the same way every time, with no AI involved. An AI-powered accessibility check is a separate feature planned for a later release.
Dynamic Content Review & Approval, Now Available
Reviewers can now see every variant of a dynamic email in one place, comment in context, and approve without leaving Stensul.
How it works
Every segment combination of a dynamic email is available to preview during review
Comments on shared content apply once, instead of being repeated across each variant
Comments on variant-specific content stay tied to the right version
Approval covers all variants together
This replaces the workarounds teams were using to review dynamic emails: duplicating the same comment across variants, screenshotting into Acrobat for legal sign-off, or moving proofs into a separate tool.
For a full breakdown, see the Dynamic Content Review & Approval help article.
Bring Your Own LLM (Beta)
Customers can now connect their own approved LLM to Stensul and run Stensul's AI features through it. This is built for organizations, common in financial services, healthcare, and life sciences, that restrict which AI models their teams can use.
How it works
Connect your organization's approved model (OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini via major cloud providers) to Stensul. Every AI request then routes through your managed environment, under your existing contracts and controls, and never leaves it.
Once connected, Stensul's AI features (Smart Duplicate, AI Content, AI Text, and AI Subject Lines) become available to your team. The creation experience is identical. The only thing that changes is which model is doing the generating.
What admins need to do
BYO LLM requires setup with your organization's cloud provider credentials. Contact your CSM to enroll in the beta and get connection details for your environment.
