Brand Books

Set high level brand guidelines and then utilize them to build out modules and templates within the Landing Page Builder.

This feature will allow you to:

To get started with brand books you will find two roles under admin/users/roles.

Brand Book Admin

This role allows you to build your brand book.

Content Editor

The content editor role is a more restricted user role. Assign this role to users that build pages and add content to templates. We can restrict functionality based on your choosing.

  • Role will be restricted based on permissions of your choice.

  • Role will be restricted by whatever editor settings are set on presets within the brand book.

Setup a Brand Brook

  • Click Admin

  • Click Studio

  • Click Brand Books

  • You will notice we have created a brand book for you.

    • Click on the brand book named New Brand Book

    • Rename New Brand Book to your brand name by clicking on the pen icon

    • If you have multiple brands, use the “add Brand book” button or “clone” tool to create multiple brand books.

Colors

Click on a color to open the right hand navigation where you can switch colors to your own brand. Click the + to add new colors.

The “edit color” side bar will allow you to change the name, set the color as the default for box backgrounds or module backgrounds, and set the hex code for the color.

Button Presets

Overwrite the primary, secondary and link styles by clicking on the preset. You can also add any extra buttons styles that you may need using the “+”.

You can use the 'Update Button” menu to:

  • Select a name for your button

    • This name will be present across all brand books you create. If you have a template with a “Primary” button, it will be styled with whatever the brand book sets as styles for the primary button preset.

    • To setup a new name - delete the current name - type a new one and then press enter to add the name to the system.

  • Set the button as the default when a button element is dragged to the canvas

  • Set colors and style the button as needed.

Editor settings on button presets

  • Editor settings on button presets allow a user to specify exactly what editors will be able to change when they are using this preset in the builder.

  • Click the “editor settings' tab when creating a new or editing an existing preset.

  • Editor settings within button presets allow you to restrict functionality in the follow ways:

Text Presets

  • Overwrite the pre-existing text presets by preset and using the “update text” menu.

  • Add any extra buttons styles that you may need using the “+”.

  • Use the 'Update Text” menu to:

    • Select a name for your Text Preset

      • This name will be present across all brand books you create. If you have a template with a “H1” text preset, it will be styled with whatever the brand book sets as styles for the “H1” text preset.

      • To setup a new name - delete the current name - type a new one and then press enter to add the name to the system.

    • Set the Text preset as the default when a Text element is dragged to the canvas

    • Set colors and style the Text Preset as needed.

  • Editor settings within button presets allow you to restrict functionality in the follow ways:

Use Presets to build templates and modules

Open a previously created page, or start a new one from a template or from scratch.

  • Turn the brand menu on:

    • Toggle “Brand Books” in the left hand navigation

  • If you have more than one brand, select the brand you want to use from the drop down.

The builder will now have presets for text:

You will notice when picking colors - the palette is limited to what you specifiy in the brand guidelines.
